Sustainability Charter

The provincial government is currently developing a Sustainability Charter which is intended to guide provincial decision-making on environmental issues.  Cabinet has endorsed, in principle, a draft of the Charter.  However, that version of the Charter was strongly criticized by environmental and other groups as being too weak and not providing any real direction for environmental decision-making.  The government is currently revising the Charter.
