Sustainability Charter
The provincial government is
currently developing a Sustainability Charter which is intended to guide
provincial decision-making on environmental issues. Cabinet has endorsed, in principle, a draft of the Charter. However, that version of the Charter was
strongly criticized by environmental and other groups as being too weak and not
providing any real direction for environmental decision-making. The government is currently revising the
Charter.

some background information. Check back
later for more details as the Charter’s development unfolds.
